The Team

Tom Classen comes from a family of builders for several generations.  He served his apprenticeship working for his father’s home building business. Later, at the age of 21, he became a superintendent on a 210 room hotel project in Austin, Texas. After completion, and relocating to Dallas, Classen started his own construction company in residential and commercial building. He also worked extensively with the golf country clubs & clientele, doing major renovations to the various club properties. Classen created a reputation and relationships with several of the golf club property developers.

In 1998, he was recruited to Desert Mountain Properties in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Desert Mountain is a highly acclaimed, 8000+ acre private golf course community.  He soon became VP of Development and oversaw the design and construction of 3 world-class clubhouses, 4 residential subdivisions and associated infrastructure, and over 60 multi-million dollar homes.  Classen was also a member of the Desert Mountain Architectural Design & Review Committee, serving as the developer’s representative, serving a total of fourteen years with Desert Mountain before returning to Texas.

Horseshoe Bay Resort recruited Classen to manage the construction and development efforts at the Resort and Summit Rock. Classen later had the opportunity to join the Westway Custom Builders Team and in July of 2013 purchased the Company from Mr. Rowan, founder of Westway Custom Builders.

Timm Baumann is an active principle in Savannah Developers serving in the capacity of CFO and Director of Real Estate with day-to-day responsibilities including, but not limited to, strategic planning, lot and land acquisition, finance, and capital management, bank and investor relations, and in-house legal. Timm graduated from Central Michigan University with a BBA in Accounting and Finance.

Timm started his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young, one of the world’s largest accounting firms. Timm has extensive experience in executive management and strategy development and has provided companies with business consulting services in the areas of management, corporate finance, tax, and merger & acquisitions. Subsequently, his career included serving as the Executive Director of Outsourcing Solutions, a leading national provider of state and local tax solutions, Chief Financial Officer/Director of Strategic Planning of SA Telecommunications, Inc., a publicly-traded telecommunications company, and Senior Vice President of Allen Energy Company, an oil and gas service and production company. Timm co-founded American Cellular Services, U.S., a wireless telecommunication company, in 1988, and sold the company in 1992 to Contel Cellular, a subsidiary of GTE.

Over his career, Timm has been extensively involved in real estate and has worked closely with the City of Dallas, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. Mr. Baumann is a Certified Public Accountant and an alumnus of Ernst & Young.

Leslea has called the Texas Hill County “home” for more than 35 years and has become an expert on all the details of why this area is so special and the advantages of home ownership.

Before starting her career in real estate, Leslea was a Chief Financial Officer at a Fortune 500 company, as well as several start up companies in the Austin area.  She holds an MBA in Finance & MA in Literature from Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business.  Having such an intense financial background allows her to negotiate for her clients, as well as steer them towards the best investment possible.  She takes pride in going above and beyond for her clients.  Her clients often comment about her strong work ethic and ability to add a personal touch to each transaction.

While she isn’t selling real estate, Leslea enjoys running, Bikram yoga, and watching her son run track and play football for Lake Travis High School.  She is an incredibly proud mother to her 15 year old son, Kenny.  They can be seen around the neighborhood walking their three dogs – Scruffy, George, & Ladybug.
